How and why did you join Toyota?
I applied to TME and joined in 2015 as an Intern working on environmental system certification. Not the sexiest topic to work on, but I really liked it as I found a lot of opportunities to influence my colleagues who were quite open to getting feedback from someone new just starting out on their first job. After that I was offered a graduate position where I was involved in setting up a legal compliance scheme for recycling cars in Europe.
That’s not something you can learn at university, but through setting that scheme up I came to see that TME is a company where you are given space and time to study, time to prepare a solution and that they empower you to deliver the result.
Can you briefly describe your journey through Toyota until now?
I started as in Intern in 2015 working in the Environmental Management System and Toyota has been a great place for both career and personal growth. As of September 2024, I will be on my 2nd International Assignment in the Global ESG team located in Toyota City, Japan.
I am excited for having the opportunity to support the development of Toyota’s Global ESG activity by leveraging my understanding of EU and Japan.
