a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or business
less than 18 months of professional experience
the will to learn and ability to persevere to reach challenging targets
a collaborative mindset and respect for others
creativity and a passion for cars
excellent communication skills and fluency in English

What you'll
learn at Toyota

Our Graduate Development Programme is the ideal way to put your theoretical knowledge into practice. You’ll get to know Toyota Motor Europe thoroughly, thanks to diverse projects, trainings and visits to different departments.

On-the-job and classroom trainings

This 18 month-programme is filled with trainings. You’ll get courses, for example about the Toyota Way, but you’ll also learn from your colleagues and personal mentor. How to manage projects, how to solve problems, how to put our customers first, how to set and achieve challenging targets … these and so many other skills will be yours in 1,5 years’ time.

Line training

At Toyota, we have a hands-on mentality. You’ll be working for several weeks on the line in one of our production plants in the UK or France. There, you’ll experience the globally renowned Toyota Productions System. You’ll learn about famous concepts such as kanban, andon, just-in-time & lean manufacturing. For every graduate, this is an unforgettable experience that makes you see the importance of built-in-quality like never before.

Retail training

During this training, you’ll learn about our customer first philosophy and our retail operations. It lasts 2 to 3 days and includes a visit to the retailer, so you can see it for yourself. Apart from that, you’ll spend several weeks in different divisions from your own during the programme.
