Team/division description

The intern will be part of the VPE Driveability team within the Vehicle Performance Engineering (VPE) division. The VPE Driveability team is dedicated to providing customers with a unique Driving Experience by establishing and achieving competitive targets in an evolving market. The team uses the best technologies and a data-driven, digital, and human-centric approach to enhance vehicle performance.

Your project

• • Research connected data to gather insights on drive behaviour
  • Develop AI & ML Models to analyse and characterise driver behaviour
  • Support the creation of customer segments & enhance customer intelligence through adequate feature engineering and ML methods
  • Apply obtained insights to optimise user experience through optimal targets
  • Support & Implement data pipelines for vehicle connected data
  • Collaborate with an extensive internal team as also multiple European & Global stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

Your profile

• You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
• You have an interest in state-of-the-art AI and Data Science applications in the automotive sector
• You are motivated by the opportunity to access and research a unique, extensive dataset of real-world vehicle data
• You are excited about applying state-of-the-art AI in real-world scenarios and look forward to the unique opportunity to work with a vast dataset of real-world vehicle data
• You have experience in the application of AI models, feature engineering and classification/clustering algorithms
• Experience in signal processing and time series data analysis is an important asset
• Experience in customer segmentation and clustering is an asset
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are a team player with good communication skills

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
