Team description

You will be part of the Sales & Value chain domain, working closely with business units, project teams, and other architects to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient IT solutions across Toyota's European entities.

As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring they align with our enterprise architecture standards and contribute to our overall digital transformation goals.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining IT solutions that meet business needs while adhering to architectural principles and standards. Your expertise will be vital in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation. 

• Understand and analyse business requirements, demonstrating expert-level business analysis skills and strategic thinking.
• Design / validate solutions that align with business strategies.

• Develop and maintain solution architecture artifacts using expert-level architecture modelling skills.
• Lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring consistency in design and implementation across IT teams.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Provide expert-level guidance on integration architecture, cloud architecture, and emerging technologies.
• Work closely with development and delivery teams to ensure good implementation of the solution architecture and design.
• Ensure that solutions adhere to security and compliance standards.

• Design and document technical solutions using expert-level technical writing skills.
• Mentor development teams on best practices in software development and architecture.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of architectural standards and principles.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on our organization.

Who are we looking for?

Your profile

• master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Java environment 
• Expert-level knowledge of solution architecture methodologies, architecture and design patterns for various types of applications
• Expert-level skills in architecture modelling, integration architecture, cloud architecture (AWS and/or Azure), and solution design.
• Advanced knowledge of data architecture and security architecture.
• Expert-level programming skills and infrastructure knowledge.
• Knowledge and previous experience with automotive industry is a plus.
• Expert-level business analysis and strategic thinking abilities.
• Expert-level skills in presentation, technical writing, and vendor management.
• Advanced project/programme management skills.
• Expert-level abilities in communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability.
• Advanced collaboration, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Certification in relevant architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure) is highly desirable. As is knowledge of Enterprise Modelling tools like BiZZDesign.
