Team description

 

The Software Toolchain & Platform team in R&D Electronics Engineering is responsible for:

  • Setting up state of the art processes & tools to guarantee quality & efficiency for vehicle software development (using coding frameworks like Java, C/C++, Matlab-Simulink, Flutter,...)
  • Developing European & global market SW applications/services for multimedia units and other vehicle ECU’s
  • Contributing to software standards like AUTOSAR, Software Defined Vehicles, Cyber Security and through that drive future Toyota electrical platform
  • Achieving above in close collaboration with other Toyota Affiliates & EU tech companies

 

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinate and Collaborate: Lead the team in applying software development processes, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure process adherence and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Review software requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability; participate in code reviews; and perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, ensuring timely resolution and continuous enhancement of software quality.
  • Process Improvement: Analyse, design, implement, and monitor software process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Conduct regular process audits and assessments.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on new and existing processes and promote a culture of quality and efficiency within the organization.

Who are we looking for?

Your profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You have a Master Degree in Engineering - specialization: Computer Science or equivalent by experience
  • You have expertise in automotive software development processes & quality assurance
  • You have good people (soft) skills and can comfortably discuss/negotiate with other stakeholders internally and externally
  • You have good knowledge of:
    • System engineering & software architecture design (SysML/UML), including requirement writing standards (IREB,…) and ALM tool usage (DOORS, Jama, Windchill RV&S,…)
    • Software coding best practices
    • Software testing (MIL, SIL, HIL) including testing standards (ISTQB,…)
    • Dev(Sec)Ops practices incl. CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira,…)
  • Following knowledge/skills are considered as an asset:
    • ASPICE
    • Model based design (Matlab & Simulink)
    • GenAI
    • Network & automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP)
  • You have strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects effectively, coordinating with team members to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • You are strong in problem-solving, logical thinking & reporting skills.
  • You are available to travel for business on occasional basis
