Join Toyota's Vehicle UX team to research Generation Z's mobility habits, focusing on electric vehicles. Conduct surveys, benchmark UX concepts, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve user experience. Ideal for students in Cognitive Engineering, HCI, or Psychology with research experience, strong communication, and analytical skills. 6-month internship.

Get to know your team and responsibilities

TME R&D centre is responsible for planning, development and production support of vehicles aimed at - and locally produced for - the European market.

Within TME R&D, the VPE – Vehicle UX team is responsible for ensuring a good overall UX (User Experience), by the HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) and Ergonomics (physical and cognitive) performance of vehicles, both during actual vehicle development and in research activities.

 

In the vehicle UX division we conduct research to collect and analyze customer behavior through a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods and collaborate with other functions to understand and incorporate the technical requirements into research.

 

To accomplish this goal, you will assist in:

  • Surveys and interview,
  • Benchmarking of new innovative UX concepts,
  • Data analysis,
  • Writing of recommendations based on findings.

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Student in Cognitive Engineering, Cognitive Science, Human computer interaction, Psychology or similar
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools and Teams
  • Experience in user research
  • Good communicator, happy to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Open minded, with interest in different cultures and uses
  • Good self-organisation and time management
  • Analytical – Investigative, inquisitive, always asking 'why?'
  • Customer Centric- Able to leverage their empathy for and knowledge of the user to influence stakeholders’ teams
