Team description

We are part of the Customer Quality division, a vibrant and energetic team of over 50 people from various nationalities within Europe, Japan, and other countries. Our primary role is to resolve quality-related concerns affecting the European markets. Additionally, we support a diverse range of markets where our European-assembled vehicles are exported, including regions outside the traditional European area such as, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and North Africa.

Your responsibilities

You will be part of the Technical Support team, which includes engineers and technicians. The main goal of this team is to provide technical assistance both internally within Customer Quality division and externally to our Technical/Quality teams across Europe at Toyota’s National Marketing and Sales Companies.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Verify the remedial procedures described in the technical documentation for various vehicle-related technical campaigns (repair trials). This may occasionally involve travel to the Toyota/Lexus network across Europe.
  • Ensure that the procedures are clearly written and easily understood by well-trained Toyota technicians, enabling them to carry out repairs correctly and safely.
  • Propose modifications if any difficulties are identified during the trial process.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to engineers on performing complex repairs on both conventional and electric vehicles (e.g., engine or transaxle replacement, traction battery replacement, ADAS calibration, and use of diagnostic tools).
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy workshop environment.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of tools and Special Service Tools (SST).
  • Support ad hoc requests involving the removal or installation of parts and accessories.

Who are we looking for?

Your profile

  • You are fluent in English, which is the business language at TME. Knowledge of any major European language is considered an asset.
  • You have experience working as a technician either in a dealership environment for a major car brand or at a distributor’s headquarters.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the automotive sector.
  • You hold a valid technician certificate issued by a recognized European vocational school.
  • You have sufficient experience to diagnose vehicle malfunctions by following the manufacturer’s diagnostic procedures and can independently develop a diagnostic plan with minimal guidance.
  • If you are certified to diagnose and repair electric vehicles, this will be considered an additional asset.
  • You possess a valid Category B driver’s license. A Category C license is considered an additional advantage.

Our offer

We offer a dynamic multicultural work environment with broad opportunities to learn every day and exciting career pathways that help you explore different disciplines or areas of expertise.

Your benefits:

  • Competitive salary package based on your experience, including a bonus plan depending on individual and/or company results;
  • Flexible reward plan that will allow you to personalise part of your reward plan and balance it in line with your priorities by opting for extra insurance, more mobility options (bike lease), extra holidays and more;
  • Meal and eco vouchers;
  • Insurance package (medical, life, disability, pension);
  • Extra paid holidays (Toyota days, seniority days…) above the legal holidays. More can be added through our flexible reward package;
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working (homeworking, 20 days from abroad);
  • Interesting car lease formulas and discount when buying a Toyota or Lexus;
  • Various company discounts – Exceptional terms and prices on products and services from your favourite brands and retailers;
  • Company restaurant – Warm dishes, salads and desserts daily, including Japanese and traditional Belgian specialties, as well as a vegan/vegetarian option;
  • Sport facilities – Tennis, squash, volleyball, football and softball pitches are available at various Toyota sites;
  • Team building activities and other personnel related events;
  • Programs to support your physical and social well-being.
