For our Toyota Parts Center Portugal, based in Porto, we are looking for a committed and motivated supervisor.
Your responsibilities
Organizing, planning and daily coordinating of employees and equipment in their area of responsibility
Develop the team: ensure the right personnel, integrate new team members, ensure appropriate versatility, advise and provide proper training/coaching, ensure rigor and discipline, performance evaluations, etc.
In cooperation with Human Resources, coordination and implementation of necessary personnel measures (e.g. promotion, assessment)
Employee & Equipment Scheduling and maintenance plan
Timely and proper execution of all physical and system-side processes
Ensuring quality and productivity targets - management of warehouse KPIs and support to those of the depot, SQCDP, Safety, Quality, Costs, Deliveries, People;
Management of dashboard, daily report, KPI of the reception, internal flows and shipping teams
Constant review and further development of existing workflows and implementation of the identified optimization potential, taking into account Kaizen planning
Elimination of systemic or process-related disruptive factors
Day-related coordination and coordination of processes between the warehouse and the forwarding service provider
Responsible for the management of subordinates, taking into account the management principles applicable at Toyota
Responsible for the creation and evaluation of all necessary information (status information, regular target/actual comparisons, daily reports) from his area of responsibility.
Monitoring, compliance and improvement of safety regulations according to UVV as well as Toyota's internal Health & Safety regulations
Responsible for implementation, standardization, and compliance with the 5 S
Advisory function of the management in case of problems that arise, mediation between team leaders and colleagues
Monitor and enforce the basic rules, physical movement accompanied by system movement, always complying with “First In First Out” (FIFO).
Support inventories, cycle counts, whether daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
Who are we looking for?
Your profile
- You have very good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken. You also speak fluent Portuguese, or Spanish.
- You have obtained a Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- You have experience as a teamleader or supervisor, in warehousing within the automotive sector.
- You have experience in logistics or production and a good understanding of workflows and process optimizations.
- You know the key principles of Toyota (Toyota Way, TPS) and have a Safety Must and Customer First approach.
- You have excellent communication skills and can lead meetings, presentations, briefings, etc.
- You have advanced knowledge of MS Office.
- You have time management skills and are able to manage other people's time accordingly.
- You can deal with challenging situations and have good motivational skills and a positive mood.
