Join Toyota's Vehicle Supply Chain team as a Systems Engineering Intern, helping drive digital transformation. Develop automated solutions using tools like SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power BI. Get to know your team and responsibilities

Vehicle Supply Chain (VSC) is responsible for the transportation (whether by vessel, rail or truck) of Toyota and Lexus vehicles from our Overseas – and Local Plants, to ports of export, inland compounds and/or retailers in Europe. The Vehicle Supply Chain seeks to challenge ‘Plant-to-Retailer’ lead-time, improve delivery performance and reduce cost through the application of Toyota Production System.

 

As part of Vehicle Supply Chain, ‘systems engineering’ team is responsible to,

  • Lead VSC towards Digital transformation journey by implementing Efficient, Effective, & Agile System, aligned with and exceeding Customer’s expectation, and preparing Self Steering Logistics to support Toyota becoming a Mobility Company.
  • Actively contribute to improve Customer Satisfaction by creating an accurate timeline transportation plan and method for all vehicles from Plant to Customer with shortest Leadtime & lowest CO2 emission.
  • Fully leverage digital solutions to reduce paper usage and Eliminate ‘Non-value added’ work through System automation to achieve Operational excellence, turning VLG an exciting place to work where members can continue personal development and actively contribute to the business growth.

 

As Vehicle Supply Chain, we are going through an automation/digitalization phase and it will be one of our focus points in the upcoming years. You will be directly working with the team manager to transform processes and tools by

  1. Follow-up on ‘VSC User Guide’ and training structure (including content) for new members with the direct manager.
  2. Develop online platform by utilizing Share point, Power Automate, Power Apps and any other mean of automation.
  3. Review & follow-up with all the stakeholders to build consensus and gather data/info and reflect in the platform.
  4. Rollout VSC User guide and PDCA
  5. Involve & Support testing other digital projects which are being developed in parallel (which includes Data analysis, Master data setup etc)
  6. Develop KPIs through BI to support business

 

 

 

Who are we looking for?

Your profile

We are looking for an engineering or and related programme’s student who can bring fresh ideas to our team with

 

  • An interest in programming and business intelligence
  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • A familiarity with MS Office, MS Share point, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI
  • Curiosity to learn new ways of working
  • High teamwork spirit

  •  6 months

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
