Team description

TME Safety & Health Division is responsible for the deployment of the Toyota Safety Management System across all operations in Europe and the further strengthening of the Corporate Safety Culture through all Business Units towards our zero-accident objective.

Within this construct and with full alignment to the Company’s Mission, the Corporate Team is focused on a range of collaborative activities with its Regional stakeholders which seek to deliver on our ambitions towards the concept of ‘Any Member Any Process’ and the attainment of Zero STOP6 incidents.  The team is actively engaged in supporting the Manufacturing Business Units through New Model initiatives and more generally striving to develop and strengthen Business Unit Self-Reliance through X-Functional support.

Your responsibilities

Our requirement:

TME Safety & Health Corporate Team is looking for a problem solver to assist us in our journey towards ‘Any Member Any Process’ within our Regional Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations as well as lead safety related topics in the scope of the mid-term regional Safety & Health Action Plan.  It is not a pre-requisite for the successful candidate to have an in-depth knowledge of Ergonomics – technical training will be provided.  However, the ability to fit into a small and highly motivated team is essential, as is the ability to interact with people at all levels of the business across the Region.  The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate an ability to manage projects, a passion for problem solving, identifying potential solutions and crucially be able to use their influencing skills in securing stakeholder engagement.

Your responsibilities:

Regional Ergonomics, Capex and Projects Lead

Ergonomics

1. Lead regional strategic Ergonomic improvement activity
2. Review and standardize regional Ergonomic data collection, analysis, reporting and visualisation
3. Regional Any Member Any Process [AMAP] Capex budget governance and associated utilisation [& business impact]

Digitalisation

1. Project manage AMAP Digitalisation Project [software integration] and assure full regional deployment through Manufacturing & Supply Chain Business Units [EMCs, PSC as core]

Mid-Term Action Plan

1. Lead topics from Mid-Term Regional Safety & Health Action Plan

Who are we looking for?

Your profile

• You are fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of additional European languages is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
• You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering or Safety & Health, or a related technical or scientific field.
• You have a strong interest in improving workplace safety and wellbeing, with a preventive mindset and attention to both operational and organisational aspects of Safety & Health.
• You understand the links between product design, process and equipment design, manufacturing and supply chain operations, and supporting functions, and how these influence safety risks.
• You have experience or strong exposure to manufacturing or supply chain environments, with a solid understanding of shopfloor realities and safety challenges.
• You are able to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with people at all levels of the organisation, from operators to management.
• You demonstrate strong planning, organisational and coordination skills, and are comfortable managing regional safety topics and projects.
• You have a practical and structured problem‑solving approach, combined with a clear interest in continuous improvement and kaizen.
• You are confident using digital tools and software, including Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI, and show a willingness to work with new systems and data‑driven safety tools.
• You are flexible and willing to travel regularly across Europe, the UK and Turkey, with occasional travel beyond these regions.
