This internship supports legislative compliance within Toyota Motor Europe’s Parts Supply Chain group in Diest, Belgium. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with the EU Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Security program and the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) regulation for hazardous substances. The intern analyses current policies, benchmarks best practices, and identifies gaps between the ideal and actual situation to develop and implement improvement action plans. Responsibilities also include managing safety data sheets, lithium battery test reports, hazardous material spill procedures, and employee training materials. By improving processes and compliance awareness, the intern helps ensure safe, legal, and efficient supply chain operations without disrupting daily activities.

Your responsibilities

 

EU authorised economic (AEO) operator (Security) program

 

  • Understand the EU legislative framework, and the related internal policy

 

  • Challenge the current internal policy through benchmarking, and by describing the ideal situation versus the actual status, leading to the creation and implementation of an action plan

 

  • Develop the required training materials, ensuring that employees adhere to the AEO security guidelines

EU Regulation of Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP)

 

  • Ensure legal compliance towards the EU CLP Regulation, focussing on the safety data sheet management system and the Lithium battery test reports

 

  • Monitor the extension of the EU CLP Regulatory framework to other regions, such as Turkey (KKDIK) and Russia (GOST)

 

  • Manage the in-house operational hazmat spill-procedures, ensuring that employees involved in the handling of hazardous materials are properly trained

 

  • Challenge the current business conditions through benchmarking, and by describing the ideal situation versus the actual status, leading to the creation and implementation of an action plan

  • Strong knowledge on Office 365 applications

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
