Team/division description
The Materials Engineering division in Toyota Motor Europe is responsible for the research and development of new materials and analytical techniques for emerging technologies. Particularly, we examine topics which work towards reducing the environmental impact of our vehicles. One of our key topics is the development of sustainable fuels, such as green (solar) hydrogen through photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical methods.Our team aims at searching for and integrating European unique and advanced technology into final products to strengthen Toyota’s future products. Your project:
We are now offering a position to develop 2D semiconductors for photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical water splitting (hydrogen production) as part of a European-funded project, PH2OTOGEN.

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
