Team/division description
Parts Supply Chain Group mission is to deliver the right product (service parts, accessories and information) at the right time, through lean integrated logistics, exceeding Customer & Stakeholder expectation, with engaged members realising a sustainable future.
Planning & Control department mission is to deliver planning of warehouse operations in line with just in time principle of Toyota to meet customer demand with minimum cost by proactively confirming logistics change points, also confirming progress of daily operations and taking lead in problem solving to achieve output.
Your project
You will support the enhancement of Toyota’s mid‑term inbound and outbound truck planning system by:
- Identifying gaps between actual truck requirements and the output of the planning tool.
- Collaborating with the Warehouse System Development team to communicate gaps, clarify requirements, and support system improvement activities.
- Testing the enhanced system functionalities and validating results with key stakeholders.
- Monitoring the progress of each improvement requirement and escalating issues when support is needed.
- Learning planning operations, system development processes, and project management methodologies throughout the internship.
